GEO Audit:
Get Seen in AI Systems

More and more of your potential customers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Mode before they buy. Whether your business shows up in those AI answers is something you probably can’t say. My GEO audit shows you where you stand and what you can do about it.

Why a GEO audit is the first step

Before you spend time or budget, you need to understand how visible you are today. Where are you already mentioned today, where are your competitors, and why. That is exactly what the GEO audit gives you: a clear snapshot with concrete recommendations and next steps.

What the GEO Audit Includes

Prompt research

Just as SEO starts with keyword research, GEO starts with prompt research. I identify the relevant prompts for a product category of your choice, focusing on queries where AI systems cite external sources.

Technical check

I check if AI crawlers can access your website and look at areas such as crawlability, indexing and structured data. Content that isn’t accessible will never appear in an AI answer.

Entity check

AI systems recommend brands they can identify as a clear entity. I analyse how clearly your business and your products are recognisable as entities and where the gaps are.

Content check

I look at which content you’re missing for AI visibility and which existing content you should update. You get clear priorities and an action plan as a result.

Competitor comparison

A top-level comparison with up to three competitors: which brands get mentioned when you don’t, and what those sources do differently. You’ll see exactly where you stand in your competitive landscape.

Report

You receive all findings and recommendations in a clear, actionable report. In the final call, we go through them together and you can ask all the questions you have about the report.

What Clients Say

Over 10 Years of SEO as the Foundation for GEO

My foundation is more than 10 years of experience in SEO and content optimisation, mostly in B2B and with products that need explaining. GEO is new. Many of its fundamentals are not: AI systems prefer to cite content that is clearly structured, fact-based and technically accessible. That is exactly what my analysis builds on. For tracking, I work with specialised GEO tools such as Rankscale.

You work directly with me. The person who analyses your AI visibility also writes the report and answers your questions.

How the GEO Audit Works

Kick-off

The initial call lays the groundwork for the audit and gives us the chance to clarify any questions.

Prompt research

I then start the prompt research for your main product category and send it to you for approval.

Analysis

I run all the checks: technical, entities, content and the competitor comparison.

Review

You receive all findings in a clear report. In the final call, we go through them together.

Frequently Asked Questions About the GEO Audit

As part of the current summer offer, the audit costs €850 plus VAT as a fixed price. This includes prompt research (up to 50 prompts for one product category), the technical check, entity check, content check and competitor comparison, plus the report and final call.

For businesses that want to know how visible they are in AI systems before investing time or budget, and that are just getting started with GEO. The offer is aimed exclusively at businesses.

After the kick-off, I typically need two to three weeks to deliver the final report. The exact timing also depends on when you approve the prompt set. Once you’ve signed it off, I set it up in Rankscale, and the tool needs a few days to collect reliable data.

Not much. In the kick-off, we define the main category the audit will focus on and your key competitors. Anything you already have helps: a keyword list from your SEO work, perhaps even a first prompt list, and a short overview of what you’ve already implemented in SEO.

If any of that is missing, that’s no problem. We’ll find a solution together in the kick-off. Ideally, send me all the information in advance when you book your kick-off appointment so I can prepare.

That’s up to you. The report is structured so that you can implement the recommendations yourself or with your team. If you’d like support, we can talk about ongoing GEO consulting.

No. GEO builds on SEO: AI systems draw their information from content that is crawlable, structured and trustworthy. That’s why I always think about both channels together.

The terms are mostly used interchangeably. Whether it’s an AEO audit (Answer Engine Optimisation), an LLMO audit (Large Language Model Optimisation), or broader terms like AI SEO audit or AI visibility audit, they all mean the same thing: an analysis of how visible you are in AI systems.

At its core, yes. A ChatGPT audit checks whether your brand shows up in ChatGPT, while a GEO audit looks across several AI systems, such as Perplexity and Gemini, as well.
